Reformed hard dance outfit turned peak time protagonists Showtek unite with Dutch peers Noisecontrollers to premiere their debut single for Skrillex’s OSWLA imprint. Hot off the heels of last month’s Crunk EP for Dim Mak, “Get Loose” is a full-bodied genre-bender, divulging in the middle-grounds of peak time electro house and dub step to the avail of one their most powerful offerings to date.
In an exclusive interview with Dancing Astronaut, brothers Wouter & Sjoerd Janssen opened up about the liberating experience of working with their hard dance peers on their debut offering for Skrillex’s label:
“We absolutely loved what Skrillex did for dub step and making it visible and with “Get Loose”, it was about showing that genres don’t matter. We have different sounds, shifting BPM and different contrasts in sound, all of which honestly relate to our sound. It is cool to show people that genre-boundaries don’t dictate good dance music anymore.”
