Minnesota has honed his niche in the bass music world with his smooth, cosmically-flavored dubstep. His last offering, the psychedelic, multi-genre Altered States EP, was met with a unanimously positive response by the blogosphere. Yesterday, the Santa Cruz-based producer debuted Equinox, the first installation in his Eternal Frequencies series: a four-part release project with an EP for each season.

Equinox is comprised of “Bloom” and “Stardust Redux.” The former is a sedative dubstep original with a dreamlike ambience, while the latter, “Stardust Redux,” picks up the tempo to drumstep for an equally ethereal experience. Make no mistake, this is some of Minnesota’s best work yet. In accordance with his previous releases, you can download the Equinox EP for free from Minnesota’s SoundCloud.
