Good Morning Mix: The Presets May Tour 2013 Mixtape
A strange blend of tracks from all sides of the dance music spectrum, including cuts from Seth Troxler and Sidney Samson, The Presets – Julian Hamilton and Kim Moyes – lay out a funky framework for their US tour. The tour’s supporting cast, Classix and Dragonette bring “All You’re Waiting For” and “Hello” to the mix while the two brits piece together an hour long sampling of strange synth pop and mechanical techno. Smothered in a smog of low end buzzing and a nearly endless cascade of reverb the two showcase a collection of tracks from nu-disco to post-industrial. At times bright and others dark and foreboding, The Presets May mixtape is much like their original work – uncompromising in its definition of genre.
