Zedd achieves first gold status as ‘Clarity’ sells over half a million records
Daft Punk aren’t the only electronic producers to match pop star elites on the charts. And the list doesn’t end at Calvin Harris, who broke Michael Jackson’s record for most top ten singles off one album with 18 Months. Although Zedd released Clarity in 2012, sales of his critically acclaimed record continue to rise.
The track that has taken off most notably is the title track, “Clarity” featuring Foxes, which has racked up over 11 million views on YouTube and has even made an appearance on Glee. Zedd’s debut album and the monstrous single that’s had fans singing along since October has been a landmark for the electronic community. Today “Clarity” has officially reached gold status as sales have been marked at 526,084 units sold.
Congratulations, Anton!
