“12 feet and 2 tons each of pure mechanical bliss,” Deadmau5 unveiled his mau5bots over the weekend to a packed crowd at Hakkasan Las Vegas. The new animatronic stage mice are not only visually daunting, but apparently something of a liability as well — Deadmau5 noted on his Twitter: “the insurance policy we had to take out for this idea was beyond insanity.” Already receiving standout reviews from those in attendance, the mau5bots have potential to become a permanent addition to Zimmerman’s already breathtaking stage setup.
