Global dance music has certainly refined its calmer side for 2013. Obscure Swedish lounge house duo Tiedye obviously didn’t miss the memo, with their recently unveiled remix for Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash marking a high-profile venture in the name of recent vocal anthem “Reload”. Rich in instrumental developments and structured around a deep canvas of disco-esque beats, the duo manages to excel the ranks of a straight Daft Punk remix with persistent compositional stamina. With the originals hallmarks respectfully intact, Tiedye offers a melodic by-product of the vintage scope that has embedded itself within modern dance music for 2013.
