In the midst of prepping for the release of her first full length LP Comfort, Maya Jane Coles has been relatively quiet with remixes. A MJC remix is almost always a guaranteed grand slam, and her work on The XX’s “Fiction” is really no different. The edit is restrained and refined — enfolding Oliver Sim’s vocals into her libidinous production techniques.
