Tiesto – Adagio for Strings (Blasterjaxx Remix)

The Netherlands’ Blasterjaxx may be the moment’s luckiest duo in dance music. The Musical Freedom-signed artists were given clearance to remix label head Tiesto’s anthemic “Adagio for Strings,” creating an entirely new sound in the process. The pair gave the 2005 trance hit an electro makeunder, dirtying up the glossy original with a glass-shattering build and relentless replacement melody. The synthy strings of the original make cameos as well, but are hijacked by a more subwoofer-friendly sound. Keeping it in the family but under a decidedly non-trance branch, the track is available now on Tiesto’s Magik Muzik label.
