In 2010, some DJ named Skrillex decided to take on the year’s biggest pop hit –Bruno Mars’ “Just The Way You Are.” Fast-forward three years (and a half-dozen Grammys), and the EDM world and Bruno Mars are still madly in lust. The latest of the crooner’s tracks to be given the remix treatment is Unorthodox Jukebox’s “Treasure,” with chart-climbing Cash Cash and aural adventuring Audien putting their spins on the ditty. Cash Cash went all-in on the remix, elevating the funk with stutters, synth stabs and enough of the original’s silky vocal to satisfy the diehard fans. Audien opted to take things more low-key on his version, creating a whole new melodic backbone with an easy kick beat. Though no official release date has been announced for the updated tune, both remixes will be out soon on Atlantic Records.
