Zeds Dead’s mixtapes have always been something special. From their outstanding 2013 Essential Mix to their memorable Holiday Mix, the duo excel at piecing together genre-bending mixtapes which alternate between harder and and more groove-driven selections. Zeds Dead’s newest work is a preview of what’s to come in their Altered States fall tour.

While their Essential mix displayed their remarkable catalogue of productions, Altered States Summer Mix is a showcase of Zeds Dead’s deeper enthrallments. The first track, DEVolution’s “My Friends,” is a perfect example of this, as Zeds Dead dive right in with some UK garage. Other surprises like Camo & Krooked’s latest d&b original “All Night” and Kastle’s future bass single “Death From Above” even out the headier selections from Distance, Datsik and more. Tack on the techno fervor of Gesaffelstein’s “Pursuit” and the deep house elegance of Gorgon City and we’ve got quite a diverse mix on our hands.
