Dirty South’s new single ‘Until the End,’ Ibiza 2012 Hot Mix on this week’s Essential Selections

Kicking off another weekly BBC Radio 1 Essential Selection, Pete Tong glides us through the finest in house music from around the globe. This week we are treated to a premiere of Dirty South’s latest song “Until the End,” goody goodies from Apollonia All Stars and a Hot Mix from Ibiza 2012.

Spinning us through his favorite progressive hits at the moment, Pete plays Don Diablo & Matt Nash’s Axtone release “Starlight (Could You Be Mine),” Phazing upcomer Michael Brun’s “Antares,” and Morten Breum’s “Look Closer” out on Ash Pournouri’s label PRMD. Pete’s Essential New Tune went to George Fitzgerald’s lavish deep house track  “I Can Tell (By the Way You Move),” replacing last week’s pick of “Isis’ by Hot Natured. Roger Sanchez is knighted into Pete’s Hall of Fame for his numerous contributions to house music over the years, while the UK’s Hot Creations-signed DeMarzo is Pete’s Future Star of the week.
