Since being debuted back in March at Ultra Music Festival, “Legacy” has become a set staple for both Nicky Romero and Krewella. While the track began as a working instrumental in Romero’s growing catalog, the Dutch producer enlisted flourishing festival act Krewella for vocal duties. The track’s foundation works off affable melodies and sporadic instances of grungier bass elements. The Yousaf sisters breathe a human element into the track, injecting the break downs with catchy lyricism and impassioned harmonies. On the whole, “Legacy” features a clean progression of energy, refraining from the more chaotic tropes that have characterized the majority of main stage-oriented dance music.
