Rune RK returns with his latest original output, “Burning Boombox.” Switching gears from his Kölsch side project, the Danish producer returns to big builds and even bigger melodies, framing the track with chirpy synth leads and a steel drum backbone. Dismissing the percussion driven drops of 2013’s festival season, Rune takes a more traditional route by imbuing “Burning Boombox” with charming synth driven energy instead of the endemic drum fills that have recently taken EDM by storm.
