A year ago, Ummet Ozcan brought us “The Box,” an enticing fusion of trance, progressive house and electro. In 2013, the Dutch producer’s sound has gained an additional dimension with his latest offering, “The Cube.” While Ummet gained notoriety through his massive W&W collaboration “The Code,” his solo projects have proven just as exceptional. “Here and Now” made waves in March, and now “The Cube” is looking to light up the summer festival season. With a lengthy mid-section designed to incite mass hysteria and some corresponding horns to direct the chaos, “The Cube” is an ominous dutch house treat released today on Spinnin’ Records.
