In the music video for Destructo’s “Higher,” director Agata Alexander takes viewers on a journey through sex, drugs, and womp and roll. Following a blonde nymphette, the story builds in ecstasy until it all comes crashing down complete with blood and shattered hearts. Dance music videos are beginning to ditch the standard concert footage formula in favor of more cohesive story lines that do a better job at keeping the viewers attention — “Higher” successfully continues this trend.
