Christian Burns & Paul van Dyk – We Are Tonight (Walden Remix)
Though Paul van Dyk needs no introduction in the world of electronic music, for his latest release he tapped Australia’s youngest export to remix the PvD name to the forefront for some of the genre’s newer fans. Walden has proved no stranger to the Armada sound, having already taken on Michael S.’s “Broke,” but takes his skills one step further with his remix of Christian Burns & Paul van Dyk’s “We Are Tonight.” Keeping the sound in his bright and melodic vein, Walden does the opposite of what most progressive house producers would do when faced with a trance track: He strips it down instead of building it up. Still uplifting but more muted, Walden keeps Christian Burns’ iconic vocals but builds a new synth-laced storyline melody to back them. Released along with the original and a radio edit of both, the entire package is available now on Beatport.
