Electric Zoo ’13 Artist Spotlight: Justin Martin and Eats Everything

The Dirtybird crew has come a long way since they’ve hatched. The San Francisco-based label, with Claude VonStroke at the helm, has created a fan base of devotees others can only yearn for. This year the clan took up a residency in Ibiza, taking their marquee brand to global pastures. With acts like Justin Martin and Eats Everything as focal points, their brand of spunky house music continues to forge ahead. At this year’s Electric Zoo Festival, the three will unite at the Sunday School Grove, with a solo set from VonStroke and an exciting back-to-back session from Justin Martin and Eats Everything.

You can expect partygoers to be fully prepared for the occasion. Even full on bird costumes are encouraged. A back-to-back bout between Justin Martin and Eats Everything is nothing new for the two. Back in June, the two released “The Gettup,” establishing the booty-bass anthem of the summer, and promising a joint album to be released in the near future. They seem to have an amazing relationship brewing — both on the production front and as DJs. Expect to hear great party music from the two, which will favor grundy bass lines and wobbly chord progressions throughout.

There is no denying that Dirtybird has created somewhat of a task force of notable acts as of late, which is quickly becoming one of the most acclaimed collectives of electronic acts in the game. Their genre-defying sound appeals to tech house and bass head fans, alike, bringing together diverse clusters of people at each and every party. The party won’t end at Randall’s Island, though — the three will relocate to Brooklyn’s Output where things are sure to get extra weird.
