In yet another move that attests to the fact that you can lock him in any sort of musical box, Jacques Lu Cont aka Thin White Duke aka Les Rythmes Digitales aka Stuart Price aka Traques has made a 75-minute ambient album Palindrome available for streaming on his SoundCloud. Ambient music by definition is designed to incite more focused listening than other forms of “background music,” and even if Jacques is just messing around with another form of electronic music this one isolated time, it’s fun to listen to the boundaries he’s pushing. Put on Palindrome and give your mind space to think.
