Pendulum plan new album for next year, Knife Party album to come before
After announcing their split in June of 2012, no one expected Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen to return to Pendulum anytime soon. The pair felt the electronic rock/drum and bass fusion had run it’s course. Swire asserted, “We’re having too much fun with the Knife Party project. It’s also great because Pendulum towards the end sort of felt like we were doing it because we had to and that’s never a fun way to do music. Whereas Knife Party is pretty much solely us doing what we want to and if no one likes it we don’t care.” With a year past, Rob took to twitter to make an electrifying broadcast:
We’re probably going to release another Pendulum album some time next year.

Since the international success of Immersion, featuring hits like “Watercolour” and “The Island,” fans have been clamoring for new material from the progressive band. After a four year hiatus, the group’s revival surely will be received emphatically from a dance music community eager for innovation, even if Rob doesn’t think so…
It will have been 4 years since the last one and probably no one will give a fuck, but neither do I….so it’s all good :)

As if this revelation isn’t enough, it looks like we can also expect a full-length album from Knife Party next year too.
There will be a KP album before that also. Probably should have mentioned that first. http://t.co/tQHdDPe4bi
