Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Knife Party and more recognized at DJ Awards
Though the DJ Mag polls have closed the Top 100 is not the only awards game in town, and Ibiza’s DJ Awards have ended the summer season by announcing their winners. Now in its 16th year, the ceremony took place on September 25th at Pacha and handed out 20 awards to the movers and shakers in the dance music world. Though an industry panel voted on such items as Track Of The Season and Breakthrough Artist, fans at home sent their favorite producers to the top of the pack in their genre, with Armin van Buuren sweeping both the Trance and International DJ category for his fifth and third year, respectively. Hardwell and Knife Party were also recognized for Electro and Dubstep/Drum & Bass, with Solomun, Luciano, Hot Natured and Maceo Plex scooping awards as well.
