Los Angeles production trio Captain Cuts take on Grouplove’s “Ways to Go” off their album Spreading Rumours on Atlantic Records. Taking the indie pop hit for a walk down a winding road of bubbly electro house, the up-and-comers inject a shifty and sugar-coated energy into the mix. Combined with Grouplove’s contagious lyrics and feel-good funk, Captain Cuts remix of “Ways to Go” plays up the twinkling summer vibes with stuttering electro charm.

Electronic rock god, Bassnectar and legendary rock guitarist, Tom Morello, are working on something truly massive. Best known as the mastermind behind Rage Against the Machine’s rock domination in the late 90s, Morello has been spending time in the studio with Ashton laying down some hard rock riffage. Not much is known about the collaboration, but between Bassnectar’s already heavily rock-influenced productions and Morello’s talent for making guitars scream in distorted agony, whatever the two concoct is sure to be one of the year’s most exciting outputs.
