The inaugural OWSLA After Dark series aired last week with a feisty mixtape from Jack Beats. For the second edition, Kill the Noise takes over the BBC 1Xtra airwaves for a frenetic, 40-track mix of trap, dubstep, electro, and all-around boisterous bass music. With plenty of selections from the recent Black Magic Remixes EP, the mixtape is full of re-worked Kill the Noise productions. Jake’s own renditions of notable tracks like “Sleaze,” “Ghosts in the Machine,” and “Diplodocus” help round out the mix, which, in typical KTN fashion, comes as a barrage of drop-hops, tempo changes, and quick transitions.
