Chromeo tease ‘Sexy Socialite,’ new single from upcoming ‘White Women’ album
Everyone’s favorite French-Canadian electrofunk duo, Chromeo, is back in action. Raising anticipation and excitement, for their forthcoming album White Women, Dave1 and P-Thugg graciously deliver another groovy treat. A few weeks ago, the pair officially released “Over Your Shoulder” as the first single off of their album, and their follow up has come as the nu-disco “Sexy Socialite.” Their new track is a light-hearted, fun little number with a funky baseline, classic retro 80’s synth work, complete with lovably cheesy lyrics and a tasty breakdown. “Sexy Socialite” is quintessential Chromeo; elegant and catchy, yet refined and classically cool. Drum work from LCD Soundsystem’s Pat Mahoney doesn’t hurt either.
