Jakarta’s Angger Dimas brings his hard-hitting style with a twist of funk to the latest Daddy’s Groove release, “Surrender.” The original brings the Italian trio’s signature strong, melodic vocal as the cherry on top of a big house tune, but Dimas isn’t afraid to take the song in a completely different direction with his official remix released on Ultra Records: When he drops in a synth heavy beat reminiscent of his moombahton background, the original guitar-focused “Surrender” takes on new life. Now out exclusively on iTunes, the tune is preceded by a Beatport-only MOTi rework.
