New York City’s nearly 100-year-old Roseland Ballroom will officially close its doors and shut down operations this April, according to Billboard. The space on 52nd street has hosted names such as Beyonce, The Rolling Stones, Metallica, and more since opening during its early whites-only ballroom-dancing days. Over the past several years, Roseland had become home to some of the most popular acts across dance music, making for one of the city’s largest spaces to host a DJ and a crowd with notable performances from Swedish House Mafia, Eric Prydz, Afrojack, Thomas Gold, amongst few other titans.
