With a plethora of remixes and a full length LP added to her already illustrious résumé in 2013, Maya Jane Coles has added another world class production to her stellar year. Much like she did on Tiga and Audion’s “Let’s Go Dancing,” Rudimental’s “Free,” and Alex Jones and My Favorite Robot’s “Wholegrain,” Maya Jane Coles lends her deep house touch to Bonobo’s “First Fires.” Placing a snare heavy groove under Grey Reverend’s vocals, the remix never loses steam and is another masterful production from one of dance music’s most unique talents.
