From compilation duties for Funk Farm to an official remix for Chase & Status, British up-and-comer Nathan C has proven a consistent production force throughout 2013. Debuting this month on Gareth Emery’s Garuda imprint, the British trailblazer drops a rare and wonderful vocal original from his fast expanding studio artillery. Where earlier versions of the track took a far more progressive feel, the well-polished reshuffle of “Made To Survive” hits all the right notes where Nathan’s melodic guise is concerned. Blissfully euphoric yet conventionally tailored to the radio-friendly masses courtesy of Alex Humphrey’s catchy top line, “Made To Survive” is a prime example of how universal club fuel need not equal cheesy compromise. In a welcome divergence from the label’s more trance-orientated output, Nathan C sails into 2014 with a diverse arsenal of originals to his belt and a lot of momentum to ride for the year ahead.
