When Thomas Gold initially announced his #RememberTheLight Tour several months ago, he emphasized that it would be unlike what fans experienced during his Fanfare World Tour. This year, it was all about the power of light. In speaking to Rolling Stone about the title track, “Remember,” he explained that “The song is based around the theme of a couple experiencing a night they’ll remember forever.” Its lyrics, co-written by Kaleyn Behr, are about a couple spending the night together and watching the sun rise; however, the Berlin-based producer’s creative hand got the best of him when shooting the music video.

The bulk of the video takes place in an elevator that acts much like a portal, transporting those who enter to magical destinations beginning with Ibiza’s Ushuaia  where every Wednesday from June to September 2013 he played alongside Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell for their weekly Departures party. Other tropical havens viewers are transported to include Amnesia Ibiza, Tomorrowland, Mysteryland, Ministry of Sound, and Paradise Club Mykonos. If only elevators worked this way in real life.
