Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak imprint continues to establish itself as one of the early adopters to embrace the hardstyle sound in the States. After releasing a handful of tracks on the tastemaking label, including “Zombie Killer,” Coone preps the release of his full length EP, Global Dedication. The 14-track EP is a hardstyle jolt in every sense of the word, with the familiar kicks and unrelenting energy of its host genre all present here, softened on the edges by larger than life vocal cues and power ballad melodies. Opening with an intro edit of the previously released “Times Gettin’ Hard,” Coone quickly set the tone for the next hour of 150bpm ballistic kicks and whip-lash inducing breaks. As hardstyle begins to build its foundation stateside alongside ID&T’s global expansion, Coone finds himself shoulder to shoulder with Headhunterz as two artists at the forefront of hardstyle’s American adoption.
