Eric Prydz awarded Essential Mix of the Year by Pete Tong

An invitation to produce an Essential Mix has always been considered an honor in itself, but being awarded “Essential Mix of the Year” is a prestige that, this year, only a man by the name of Eric Prydz could acheive. In 2013, artists invited to create an Essential Mix included Mat Zo, Maya Jane Coles, Disclosure, and Steve Angello, just to name a few. But on February 2nd, just five weeks into 2013’s weekly Essential Mix, Eric Prydz took over for the first time since late 2011, and that effort is being crowned by Pete Tong himself as the golden one of fifty-two.
