Weekend Rewind: Tiësto's unreleased remix of 'Lost In The World' for Kanye West
Three years ago, nearly to date, Kanye West released his fifth studio album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. It was 2010; festival popularity was bubbling in electronic music and Tiësto was at the helm of it all. So Kanye enlisted Tijs to remix one of his Dark Fantasy records, “Lost In The World,” and it had soon been premiered at Ultra Music Festival 2011. At that time, Tiësto said “I spoke to Kanye a couple of weeks ago, and he told me it’s going to be his new single. The remix is going to come out a lot later than expected.”
Over one year later, he played the remix on his Club Life show for it’s first ever radio play. By now, Kanye was onto new material, and it was apparent that the remix would not be his next single as promised, but Tiësto’s take on “Lost In The World” lives on through a timeless radio rip.
