Tensnake teases tone of 'Glow' album with initial Nile Rodgers collaboration
With his debut album ‘Glow’ finally scoped to drop in March, German tunesmith Tensnake drops one of the two promised collaborations alongside legendary Chic member and songwriter Nile Rodgers. Since his Defected hit “Coma Cat,” the production maven has consistently remained a champion of long past musical hallmarks and this return to the spotlight offers a hint of things to come. Returning collaborator Fiora’s emotive vocals and Rodger’s signature guitar licks make for an intriguing addition to the German producer’s own chiming melodic tendencies. At the tail end of a year where nostalgic nods and strong songwriting have fuelled singles and albums alike, “Love Sublime” is dance music for the instrumentally adept and eclectically inclined masses. If this early-rising single is anything to go by, 2014 may well be the year of the snake.
