3LAU's plans for 2014 include 5 original releases
The mashup king turned festival fan favorite has made big strides in the music industry in 2013. And now, to start the new year even stronger than he ended his last, the Vegas based producer gives fans a taste of what’s to come. With 5 new originals set for release in 2014, and his first official set at Ultra Music Festival, 3LAU has a lot on his plate. For his first original, he teases a new video on his social media outlets–the song is called “How You Love Me” and will feature Bright Lights on vocals. He also plans to release a trance tune with a prominent collaborator, and a 140 bpm “melodic off beat dream track,” showcasing two very different sides to Justin’s versatile music palate. On top of all this, he will reveal an original aggressive club “banger” with 3 different drops that should be reminiscent of his mashup anthems, and most excitingly, Justin hopes to break through the dance music mold with some acoustic renditions of his new songs. “Whether piano or guitar, I think it’s important for any artist to convey their sources of inspiration,” the DJ says on his Facebook page. 3LAU promises that although the new year will bring many changes, he will still maintain his 3LAU HAUS podcast and continue doing mashups, as both outlets led him to the level of success he’s reached today.
