Two minutes, three seconds, seven tracks. At the outset of 2014, these are the parameters set to shape the tone of John Dahlback’s return to the digital market. Off the heels of “Sirens” for Ultra, the Mutants head honcho drops a sparing but powerful taste of the output that has been brewing in his Stockholm studio of late. Packed with a mix of brand new cuts and more recent set staples, the collection draws on the diversity that we have come to expect from Dahlback’s catalogue to date. What’s more, John is urging fans to feedback their thoughts via Soundcloud in order to influence the release schedule moving forwards. Outside of the two-minute clip and the sudden empowerment of fans, the cards are being kept notably close to the chest for now. If first impressions serve us well, this is sure to be an interesting year of music from the long serving Swedish producer.
