Fresh off “Favela,” a long-awaited original mix from a duo known to keep studio material tight, Wayne & Woods rebound quickly with a trap-kicked take on festival-fevered “Tsunami.” With the original leaving a contagious hook left over from the latter portion of festival season, the duo swing a trapleg that allows all but its surrounding sounds to remain. Since stylized as trap, it’s surprising that Wayne & Woods’ take is the easier listen of the two, but melodic undertones pave the way for the strengths of “Tsunami” to surface with a punchy rendition now available as a free download.
