Hakkasan acquires San Diego based Enlightened Hospitality Group
Hakkasan Ltd has announced the acquisition of a controlling stake in Enlightened Hospitality Group (EHGRP), a San Diego based hospitality development company. Through this deal, Hakkasan also owns 100% of Stingaree Nightclub in San Diego, as well as being the majority stakeholder in all EHGRP properties such as Searsucker (San Diego, Del Mar, Austin) and Herringbone (San Diego, Los Angeles). The acquisitions reflect on Hakkasan’s goal of entering new U.S. markets and developing into a global lifestyle brand. Immediately following the acquisition, both groups will move forward with their first joint project — the launch of Herringbone at Mondrian Los Angeles scheduled to open in January 2014.

Hakkasan also has plans on developing a new luxury resort on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah, which is set to begin construction later this year.
