In October, Canadian duo Adventure Club released Calling All Heroes Pt. 1, their debut four-track EP packed with signature melodic bass soundscapes and elegant vocal features. The EP’s standout track was awarded to “Wonder” with The Kite String Tangle, a five-minute harmonic blend of spine-chilling vocals and rumbling dub melodies.

Today, Norwegian partnership Pegboard Nerds jumps from a string of hit Krewella remixes to add Adventure Club’s latest to their list of pop-dub remixes. Despite the Nerds’ love of aggressively heart-racing electro blasts, the duo stays true to the somber serenity of The Kite String Tangle’s vocal chorus, adding an intricate progressive layer as a subtle hint of the energetic transition to come. And sure enough, two minutes into the “Wonder” remix, the scratching Pegboard Nerd synth jabs take the originally melodic track to its climax.
