When Junior Sanchez united with Size Records to form Brobot, we were counting on his ability to bring the cream of the crop forward for his latest underground venture. Now stretching out towards the fertile Dutch circuit,  Chocolate Puma takes the reign of the label’s fifth venture, riding on the waves of impending remix duties for GotSome’s “Bassline” to assert a loud and proud entrance from the seasoned house veterans. True to the form that has carried their reign through an array of monikers over the past 20 years, “Afrika” enters with that signature percussive panache. It’s a no-frills club cut, fitting the bill of Sanchez’s newly formed underground powerhouse in a way that only an outfit as well-versed in the exotic strains of modern house music as Rene and Gaston could muster. One remix down and a striking label debut later, 2014 is looking more like the year of the Puma than that of the horse.
