For its third release of the year, WALL Recordings has tapped into the sound of the moment with D-Wayne‘s “Africa.” The tribal-inspired tune keeps things electro with a piano-based melody that is quickly augmented by a vocal chant and the all-important percussion section. More elegant than aggressive, the young Dutch producer’s track further plays up the juxtaposition with synths that go from swelling to stabbing with a single pound of the drum. Already supported by such festival heavyweights as Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and David Guetta, “Africa” is sure to receive heavy representation on the global spring circuit.
