Last fall Martin Solveig and Laidback Luke got together for a C02 incident turned genre-blending track dubbed “Blow.” After launching a spoof ad campaign and rocketing up the charts, the tune is getting a revisit from an equally experimental pair. Frequent conspirators MOTi and Quintino have taken on remix duties for the track, bringing a heavier bassline and some serious synth to the accessible electro tune. While still punctuated by the title vocal snippet, the pair’s rework flips between a retro heart rate raiser and a more modern jungle swinger. Using a percussive style honed on “Dynamite,” the duo spice up their own work by bringing in a sort of synthetic horn section backed by a feisty four on the floor beat. The latest chapter in what is sure to be a long book of collabs, MOTi and Quintino’s “Blow” remix is downloadable now.
