Australia has become a haven of budding talent in the past year; breakout names like Flume, Flight Facilities, and Chet Faker are just a few of the rising superstars hailing from Down Under. This month, we invite yet another incoming Australian talent to take the reigns on our 95th episode of Axis. Thomas Jack is a 20-year old producer who has jumped from one paradise to another – originating from Sydney and now living in Miami – and has channeled the sunshine into his music, creating his own lovingly dubbed “tropical house.” As pleasant as the label suggests, Jack has perfected a balance of alluring downtempo beats with sexy jazzy interludes and thought-provoking vocal samples in both his originals like “Symphony” and “Final Speech” and several masterfully crafted remixes. In a belated celebration of his breakthrough 2013 year, Thomas Jack has created an mix of his influential and favorite tracks of last year in this week’s episode of Dancing Astronaut’s Axis.
