Fedde Le Grand & DI-RECT – Where We Belong (Henry Fong Remix)
While we’re still months away from Fedde Le Grand‘s debut studio album, the Flamingo Records head has given us more breadcrumbs for the journey. After causing a stir for charting rock-edged territory, his pre-album “Where We Belong” with DI-RECT is again in the spotlight, this time with a 5-track remix package. Alongside reworks from Baker Mat, Jochen Miller, Zomboy and Holl & Rush is an effort from Henry Fong, who opted to insert some of the bounce that Fedde himself is known for. Keeping the ballad quality of the vocal but ditching some of the radio-ready drama, Fong pounces on a punchy percussive line and builds up from there. His first official remix since last year’s celebrated “Without You,” “Where We Belong” puts him back on the map with aplomb.
