French mastermind and electro/pop heavyweight Madeon has never shied from the cryptic amid his industrious rise. With prospects of his debut album seeing the light of day looking stronger by the month, the man lesser known as Hugo Pierre Leclercq is out to say thank you to his fans with a generous track giveaway ahead of WMC. That isn’t to say that he isn’t making them work for it. At the end of his latest cryptic trail is “Cut The Kid,” one of the many sharp yet melodically refined studio gems to have frequented his sets without any sign of a formal release. It puts to bed the industry’s hankering for one of his most desperately sought out studio spoils to date, setting hearts racing enroute to an album unlikely to fall short of the highest caliber from this modern electronic pioneer and his ever maturing sound.
