Michael Gracioppo ft. Wayne Tennant – Creep (Tale of Us & Vaal Remix)
Following their excellent collaborative EP on Life and Death last December, it was only a matter of time before Tale of Us and Vaal landed on Innervisions in tandem. The moody and melodic Italian duo linked back up with their British label-mate on a dreamy synth-driven remix for Michael Gracioppo that is every bit as haunting as their prior output.
Wayne Tennant’s spaced-out vocals hover above a hypnotic backdrop of delicate percussion before yielding to the kind of ethereal, yet instantly iconic, synth line that only Tale of Us seem capable of consistently pulling off. It’s no mystery why the Berlin-based outfit chose to conclude yesterday’s standout set at Berghain’s Panorama Bar with this sublime number.
