Chromeo is known for dropping some of the tastiest, funkiest nu-disco pieces around. Not only does their music make for groovy, sing-along goodness, but it lays the groundwork for artists to deliver some of the most creative rework efforts around. Though Chromeo’s forthcoming studio album White Women is due out this May via Fool’s Gold Records, the slew of remixes have already created monumental waves of hype around one of the year’s more anticipated records.

The newest remix comes in the form of Brenmar‘s futuristic spin on Chromeo’s lovable, poppy, “Come Alive,” featuring Toro Y Moi. Brenmar’s vibe-setting remix is the harmonious union of uptempo-club and trap influences, weaving through a silky soundscape. Soft, echoing vocal loops matched with a gushing flow of bass turn the original track completely upside down. Brenmar’s remix incorporates crisp drum arrangements and airy synth work as Chromeo’s latest single is imagined through an ultramodern bass-music framework.

The remix is available as a free download, holding over voracious disco appetites until White Women’s official release date on May 12th.
