Cult Lewis – Bombay Rock (Original Mix)

It’s a rare occurrence to encounter an artist we know very little about, though dance music has already seen a rising trend in surprise and mystery in this young year. Cult Lewis seems to be a newcomer, but with his first major single out on Spinnin’ Records, it won’t take long for him to pick up steam. The Swedish rookie drops the highly anticipated “Bombay Rock,” showcased in live sets and podcast mixes by various EDM heavyweights such as Otto Knows, Dada Life, Martin Garrix and others. This spirited big-room electro tune, released just in time for Ultra, features grippingly thick progressions with layers of vigorous synths. Rumor has it that this single’s been floating around unfinished and unsigned for years before being finally picked up by Spinnin’. But with Cult Lewis’s distinct electro and festival-ready sound now out in the open, we can’t help but wonder what other work of this emerging Swedish artist has slipped through the cracks.
