Of all the house breakouts to prick an ear of late, there has been something notably reliable in the movements of Paolo Rocco. He proved his salt considerably in 2013 with Saved Records debut “People Say,” earning enough stripes to rack a Nic Fanciulli remix and subsequently, a debut original for Defected Records enroute to their 15^th anniversary. The supple grooves and nostalgically tuned leads that have dominated his studio work to date are out in full force for “Move Body, Move Forward.” It’s the kind of stripped back yet immediately infectious house cut that has held Defected’s domination of both sides of the market so consistently, giving the global circuit yet another reason to look towards Canada and this increasingly promising groover on the rise here in 2014.
