Rukes Top 10 Shots of February 2014
Some pictures are worth a thousand words but in Rukes’ case they may be worth a thousand drops. The preeminent DJ photographer has spent much of his time on the road with the world’s biggest DJs, documenting the debauchery from an angle few ever get to experience. Whether it’s backstage at festivals or in the booth at international hotspots, Drew Ressler has built a career on capturing every moment of the dance music explosion. As he travels the world, navigating the never ending party that is dance music culture, the photographer better known as Rukes will be showcasing his favorite moments from each month with us.

I went to a safari park with Krewella and Alesso; among the animals we got to interact with were these baby white lions! The look on Yasmine and the lion’s face are too perfect!

Going all the way up the hill to the Ostrich Farm, I was able to get this spectacular view of the sunset, with the entire festival just below the silhouette of Table Mountain.

At the end of the Johannesburg gig, pretty much every DJ was up on the stage. My favorite part had to be when Tiesto got Martin Garrix to get on his shoulders! Soon after, Tiesto go on Afrojacks shoulders to make a mega tall DJ. I hope to get Ward from W&W to sit on Afrojacks shoulders and then have Calvin Harris get on his shoulders. Tallest DJ totem ever!
