Avicii is ‘going back to work on second album,’ confirms sophomore record via Twitter

No case of pancreatitis or gallbladder surgery is deterring Avicii from his production trajectory. Before health issues caused the headliner to miss his takeover of Miami Music Week and to cancel his Ultra Music Festival set, he released Avicii by Avicii, the stage-primed remix album of his full-length debut. That first studio album, True, not only set a precedent for electronic producers, but saw widespread success in its entirety along with its “Wake Me Up” lead single.

True is officially set be followed by another full-length studio record, as Avicii himself has confirmed after a relatively silent month spent recovering from recent hospitalization. “Relaxing in Laguna Beach for a couple of days before going back to work on second album,” he tweets, “can’t wait for people [to] see what’s in store.”
