Since its inception back in 2012, Lost&Found has become a breeding ground for next generation progressive house of the highest caliber. Founding father and Israeli dignitary Guy J has never been far from the equation, returning to the label with his fourth original outing to seal the deal on an upward spiral for all involved in the musical collective. As a revered Bedrock album smith and more recent Balance compilation mixer, Guys studio panache has taken many forms over the years. “Dizzy Moments” immediately takes the form of one of those hypnotic melodic journeys that have characterised his overhaul of the genre, blissfully grooving and subtly building to form an uplifting a-side bred for the warmer seasonal backdrop. On the other side of the coin sits “Diaspora,” an extension of Guy’s underground aptitude that flirts with techno’s mechanical hallmarks whilst keeping with the intense compositional focus we have come to associate with a Guy J record. His is the soundtrack to a genre finally finding its feet away from the industry’s more ornamented players, signalling that in 2014 Guy J remains one of progressive house’s most fluent and fanciful players to bless the digital market.
